Today we discuss birth plans. I found myself including information for you just to explain why things should or should not be on a birth plan. The main takeaways include what to ask about or info to learn before writing your birth plan.

At the end of the day this is YOUR birth plan. However, if you want it to be useful for your birth and you then make sure you know what your hospital or facility has available and what your provider is agreeable to doing since they will write up the orders.

I will discuss 1) What to ask beforehand 2)What to include 3)When to write it up, and 4)What not to include. I do use medical anatomical terms for body parts so please be aware! I hope you find this helpful and determine what you want on your birth plan.

I didn't cover every possibility as there are a million options out there. Please consult your provider and/or doula for more options. Let me know what you think on our social media or email babyblisspodcast@gmail.com.
